Lisa Le Poole - Physiotherapist/Owner
Lisa Le Poole has been an owner and director of Bragg Creek Physiotherapy Ltd. since its opening day in 2000. The clinic was the first and only clinic to provide physiotherapy services to the community. It started as a two-person part-time operation and has grown into a multi-disciplinary, community physiotherapy rehabilitation and fitness center.
Lisa received her physiotherapy degree at Curtin University in Perth in 1998. After providing physiotherapy coverage for the Canadian National Diving team at the Aquatic World Championships and the Western Australia Men’s Open Tennis Tournament she returned home to commence her career in private practice.
Lisa has taken numerous post graduate courses in orthopedics and has a special interest in sports injuries. She completed her acupuncture certification in 2001 with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. Lisa continually dates her education, recently studying spinal manual therapy, running injuries and Active Release Technique ART©. She enjoys working closely with her patients in a one on one setting to ensure their rehabilitation restores the highest level of function in their daily life, sport and recreational activities. Lisa is passionate about mountain and road biking, sailing, running and tennis. She rose to the challenge of the 7 day Trans Rockies mountain bike race in 2003 and again in 2006. In 2005 she competed in La Ruta, a mountain bike race across Costa Rica. The BC Bike Race beckons her repeatedly, competing in it since its first year in 2007, again in 2008, and is now entered for 2010. Last year Lisa claimed the provincial championships in the Individual Time Trial and the Single Speed. She is happily training on the trails around Bragg Creek.

Carole Damnjanovic - Physiotherapist
Carole Damnjanovic received her Bachelor of Physical Education Degree from the University of Western Ontario, then went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy from Queen’s University. She has 14 years experience in treating sports injuries, injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents, and on-site work assessments and rehabilitation. Through her experience working with a team of neurosurgeons at Foothills Hospital, Carole developed a passion treating the spine. She also has an interest in sports therapy; in 2001 she provided physiotherapy treatment at the 8th IAAF World Championships in Athletics.
Carole has completed several post graduate courses in orthopedics. She is Full Body Certified in Active Release Techniques (ART©) and is certified in Gunn™ Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS). Her post graduate courses also include McKenzie techniques and Manual Therapy, as well as other soft tissue treatment techniques. Through personal injuries of her own, Carole brings with her an understanding of the importance of physiotherapy treatment in helping clients achieve their personal best, and does so in a personalized one-on-one environment.
Throughout the years prior to completion of her physiotherapy degree, Carole provided instruction in fitness training, personal training and aerobics and was involved in competitive volleyball. Carole moved to Alberta in 2000 to continue her passion in outdoor recreational activities including cross country skiing, downhill skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, running, and road and mountain biking. Carole’s other passions are her two beautiful children, who are already developing their own keenness for outdoor recreational activities.

Jennifer Gordon – Physiotherapist
Jennifer achieved her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario in 1996, followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Exercise Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan. From here she completed her Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan in 2001.
Shortly after graduation, she completed her post- graduate certification in Medical Acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. Jen’s experience in physiotherapy has been largely focused to orthopedics, and sports medicine. She has furthered her studies and specialized in manual therapy, and achieved her Certificate of Intermediate Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She has experience treating a variety of issues related to neuro-musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, motor vehicle accidents, postural stabilization, exercise prescription, as well as post surgical and sports related injures. She has worked with a variety of sports teams including a Royals Hockey team in Calgary and the UWO Mustang Football Team.
In addition to her ‘human’ practice, Jennifer has expanded her interest in the field of physical therapy to include dogs. In 2006, she attended the Introduction to Canine Rehabilitation course through the Animal Rehabilitation Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She has furthered that training by completing her Certification in Canine Rehabilitation Therapy through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in the USA. She now incorporates her skills of gait analysis, biomechanics, and manual therapy to the canine patient at the Canine Fitness Centre in Calgary, AB.
Jennifer loves integrating her knowledge and passion for sports into her work with clients. She completed her Fit fore Golf Physical Therapy course (levels 1 and 2) and enjoys playing the links around Calgary. She also enjoys competing in triathlons, skiing, mountain biking and recently completed her Sailing Level 1 Certificate in the Caribbean! Hopefully you’ll see her hiking the trails in Bragg Creek with her 8yr old dog and her 8mo daughter, Maggie.

Jo-Ann Hartman - Massage Therapist
Jo-Ann provides 10 years of vast clinical expertise with experience in deep tissue & sports massage, trigger point therapy, Swedish massage, chronic pain treatment, motor vehicle rehabilitation (MVA) & treatment, pregnancy & relaxation massage. Along with a thriving business in Calgary, Jo-Ann has been instructing at the Foothills College of Massage Therapy. She has a depth of knowledge in the massage therapy field having completed courses in Reiki, Craniosacral therapy, neck and low back pain management & MVA certification.
When Jo-Ann is not working she can be found running the roads & trails of Bragg Creek.

Lea Anderson - Office Manager
Lea Anderson has been the Office Manger of Bragg Creek Physiotherapy Ltd. since the summer of 2005. She is responsible for the smooth running of the clinic, providing reception and administrative services. She greets you with a warm smile and a joke to welcome you to the clinic and is pleased to assist you in booking appointments, by phone or in person.
Until Lea moved to Redwood Meadows in 2001, her forte was executive administrative positions with engineering companies in Edmonton and Calgary. She now has her own company, LA Confidential, which has been operating since 1999 and is pleased to provide administrative services to Bragg Creek businesses.

Susan Dempsey – Receptionist
Susan joined us in September 2008 so that Lea could enjoy some time away from the clinic.
Susan's background includes 10 years in the insurance industry and various sales positions. Since she has spent so much time as a patient Lisa & Lea thought she would be a good fit for the clinic.
Susan has many interests outside of physio: golfing, hiking, curling/coaching, gardening, pursuit of good wine, great food and of course eating!
