Round II is here…

With the long winter months ahead of us, now is the time to lay your fitness base in shape for spring!

Session II will challenge your cardiovascular fitness by targeting your endurance and tempo fitness and improve your leg strength; laying the foundation for a strong cycling season.

The class is suitable for all levels of cycling; everyone is the same speed on a trainer.  We will come back to the basics of pedal mechanics and cadence work and focus on race pace and threshold training.  We will do a fitness test early in the session to help determine your appropriate training zones.  Each class will wrap up with a cool down and cycling-specific stretches.

Join us for 8 weeks of fun on the trainer, starting Wednesday, January 12, to March 2, 2011 for 90 minutes, riding hard and going nowhere at all!  Classes will be held at Redwood House from 6:30-8:00 PM with the exception of January 19th – which will be held at the Bragg Creek Community Centre.

Cost: $126.00 for the 8 classes, by cash credit card or PayPal on our website.  What you need: Your own bike and stationary trainer, a water bottle, food/fuel, a small towel and COMMITMENT!  A basic cycling computer with a heart rate monitor and cadence counter is extremely helpful.

For the session to proceed, a minimum of 10 participants is required and up to a maximum of 20.  If you can’t commit to the entire session, the drop-in price is $20/class (cash) due at the start of each class.
